Bodyweight exercises are functional and often need no equipment at all, making them great for an early morning workout at home, or cracking on with your routine even when the gym is packed to the rafters. What are bodyweight exercises?

Bodyweight exercises give you the flexibility to work out and build strength without any equipment. Simply by using your weight and gravity, you can have a perfectly fulfilling workout without the need for weights. Even though these bodyweight exercises require no equipment, you can make things harder for a more intense workout with some simple pieces of kit, such as resistance bands or weight belts.
